Simple Applications
Includes:
- Decks: single platforms in back yards less than 6 feet high
- Detached garage: standard designs for single detached houses, less than 55 square meters in building area
- Demolition: simple projects with asbestos clearance and gas disconnected

Building Permit Application Intake Screening
Applications in the application intake screening queue will be screened in approximately:

Intake screening checks to ensure applications are complete and meet minimum application requirements. If approved, the application is then passed to the Development Permit Restamp stage.

Development Permit Restamp for Building Plans

Restamping confirms the proposed building plans comply with the approved Development Permit and the regulations of the Zoning Bylaw.

Restamping can take up to 15 days to process depending on complexity of the application.

If approved, the application is then passed to the building permit review stage.
