Great neighbourhoods are the building blocks of a great city. The City of Edmonton is committed to building great neighbourhoods by investing taxpayer and utility rate dollars in reconstructing neighbourhoods to enhance their livability and longevity.

Building Great Neighbourhoods Programs

The Alley Renewal Program is a City initiated program, focused on improving the alleys citywide over the next 25 years.

Collector roads fulfill a special function in our neighbourhoods. Although they may vary in size and appearance, they connect residents and local roads to the major arterial roads of the city. 

A local improvement is a project that benefits your neighbourhood more than the municipality as a whole.

The replacement of roads which require special drainage enhancement due to soft subgrade conditions that exist in several northeast neighbourhoods.
